Space facts fail in a specific way: the numbers are too large to mean anything. “The Sun is 1.4 million kilometres across” is a measurement nobody can picture. “You could fit 1.3 million Earths inside the Sun” is the same fact with a reference point, and it is the version that works.

Every good space card is a comparison. Something the viewer can imagine, next to something they cannot, with the gap between them being the fact.

The Space and Aurora backgrounds suit this material without needing uploaded imagery, which matters because most real astronomy photography is licensed even when it is free to view.

Tips that actually help

Frequently asked questions

Are there space backgrounds built in? +

Yes — the background library includes space and particle options that animate procedurally, so you do not need to source imagery.

Can I use NASA images? +

Much NASA imagery is public domain, but not all of it, and other agencies differ. Check the specific image; YAQUIZO does not supply any.

How long should each card be? +

Four seconds for a comparison, five if there is a footnote. Scale facts need a moment for the comparison to register.
